Morris's argument is self fulfilling. He assumes that Iraq could have put up a better fight that it is, and credits Bush's p-ops. That takes the proper credit away from our forces and technology. A typical Morris argument.

Bush is the one who keeps emphasising the humanitarian purpose of the war. He needs to, to justify his utter failure in the diplomatic and political side.
