Actually there were a few idiot British who did actually go to Baghdad to act as human shields in front of government buildings in the hope that no one would attack them. There was a story in Financial Times that all these idiots decided to leave after the first week aand fter being told by the citizens of Iraq (actually taxi cab drivers who would drop them off as they changed shift in being a human shield) that they would be committing crimes against humanity if they do anything that would prolong the regime of Saddam Hussein!
