Yes, the guy is a lawyer meaning he's well educated, stuck his ass out on the line during battlefield conditions where he could be killed by either side. That was to help what he thought was unfair treatment of one of our people. I can not think of any higher qualifications for a position of leadership than that.

Well, this *is* a country where WWF wrestlers get elected as state governors and Hollywood actors get elected President. This Mohammed chap is principled and has the moral character to do what he did, and I doubt my own senators and representatives would go that far on the line to help me or their other constituency held in similar peril. So, in comparison to others sitting in Congress, I'd say he has as good of qualifications or better, than any other political hack that currently populates the place. Value of people, right vs. wrong, integrity, bravery and all that...<g>
