Nope, agreed no one is perfect. but classifying Edwards as a moderate may be going a little far, according to his voting record.

From 1999-2002, Edwards Voted With Senator Ted Kennedy 90% Of The Time And Senator Hillary Clinton 89% Of The Time. (CQ Vote Comparison, CQ Online Website, www.oncongresscq.com, 106th and 107th Congresses)

and most all his money comes from personal injury trial lawyers....biggest ambulance chasers there are.

On the flipside, Edwards would need to carry Maine, New Hampshire, some of the northern states. Kerry would have a strong hold on the northeast, north middle west and west coast. He'd hardly even have to campaign there. Edwards would have to work hard for these though.

Better to team the two up, the senior statesman war hero at the top of the ticket. Also Edwards is a little too young. You need a bit of gravitas in this day and age. And edwards is not qualified to take Bush apart on military and foreign affairs issues. Kerry can and will.

Doesn't much matter what state you come from anymore except in cases where that brings a key state into your column. Remember, two Texan oil men "won" in 2000. Cheney didnt bring anything into Bush's column, he was just there to run the country for inexperienced GW.
