Yes. Once we've taken it, we can't walk away- though (imo) we should make sure we don't "rule" it- we need to get the world in on it, if possible. Of course I don't think we can afford to rebuild it- and I think the analyst who forecast a global depression is probably right on the money. When people realize what is happening, they are not going to want to spend money on Iraq (not to mention Afghanistan, which still needs "rebuilding". Sigh. There will be no plan, and it will not be followed, and it will all end badly, I think. But it's too late now for any other outcome. Now it is only a question of "How bad will it be?" I've got to go to a conference now. Have a great day, my gloomy thoughts notwithstanding.
