All the paranoia is ridiculous. So many people get the flu and cold every year. This one strain happens to cause deaths and it automatically becomes a black plague. The use of surgical and other face masks may become a fad and a fashion, and could be advertised as cold and flue preventive facewear. As fashion, it could also become status symbol. As a matter of fact, I had thought about wearing one during past years' flu seasons but never did so because it may be a sign of too much paranoia.
