Certainly about the latter. Powell has checked in his brain at the door and picked up the crayons. Wonder what he's gonna say when they decide to attack Syria/Iran?

Powell is not "behind" Bush. Powell may not even be a Republican. He is much more moderate than the others.
Condi is an enigma. Who knows what makes her tick? No comment on her except she's a little scary.

I'm refering to the Cheney, Rove, Wolfowitz, Ashcroft types, plus the Carlyle Group, the various neo-conservative Zionist chickenhawk think-tankers, the far-right no-compassion types, the political operatives scheming to come up with whatever tricks are needed to dominate our government, preserve one-party rule, drain the power of the middle-class, let the Religious right dictate morality, deregulate the environment and privatize government programs for cronies' profits, keep their real motives secret, make sure oil and defense are the dominant sectors and use McCarthyist intimidation and CIA-style disinformation campaigns to silence critics, basically by questioning their patriotism if they dare to speak out against Bush or the far right-wing.

It's quite a scary bunch. A lot of GOP moderates agree.
In fact, GOP moderates may be our only hope for a sane government in 2004. I'm actually optimistic, so long as they dont assassinate Kerry or start a new war right before the election.
