<<What about the illegals from Mexico, South America, Europe, etc? Nothing much, as long as they are not muslims.<<

Especially in Mexico case, last time I heard is that Bush wants to grant all of them citizenship and social Security.

>>Definite double, triple and quadruple standards taking place here.<<

I can only hope more Americans realize this. And now in China, more and more young people realize that the US standard is simply to apply democracy domestically, and imperialism in other countries.

Like now for India-Pakistan conflict, India thinks they can follow the US example of Iraqi invasion, but the US told them Do as I say, not as I do. what a joke!

RE:"Actually I don't have much sympathy for the moslems as a whole, and I could not care less what treatment they get. However individually, I pity a few of them who had been good citizens living as illegals for so many years and now circumstances dictate they get jailed and deported."

Seems to me... soon there will be a nice, oil rich country they can return to or immigrate to...should they choose to do so...or are asked to leave because they are illegal.

RE:"Definite double, triple and quadruple standards taking place here. Of course, no big deal because they are American standards that all the rest of the world are supposed to follow. Which of the standards is (are) the examples for the rest of the world to follow? "

Always, and it has a lot to do with votes.
Those 12 million illegals or whatever have relatives and fellow expatriates that can vote.
