The stolen Kerry laptop in SF made me start wondering if there's a right-wing political spook network at work. That much would make sense. The GOP has a history of it. Remember for instance the Nixonites who cheered Ed Muskie dressed as gay activists back in the 70's? What about the goon squad threatening Dade County vote re-counters? The entire phony energy crisis and the way it was aimed at Grey Davis, another man they feared in 2004 and have now largely destroyed? If they cant think of anything to attack Kerry on what are their options? Certainly dirty tricks are amongst them. And what is the ultimate dirty trick? I pray we dont find out. But I lived through the 70's and remember the assassinations. One after the other. Anyone who threatened the status quo got whacked. I hope I'm just being needlessly paranoid.
