The WHO guy was telling that only CLOSE contact with an infected person trasmit the desease. Like you couch putting, politely, your hand over your mouth, I shake your hand and proceed to eat rice a la Indonesians with my bare hands without previously washing them. Or I go about kissing the lips of lots of girls in Guandong.

I think that is because some Chinese scientist identified Chlamydia-like agent in all 5 dead patients, and I am not a medical major, but I read that Chlamydia-like agent belongs to bacteria type? Although there is still argument about this. www1.chinadaily.com.cn and BTW, they also identified 1-2 antivirals can effectively control sars outside human body. No this is not translation mistake. But I guess effective outside human body does not mean effective inside human body. the news I read is in Chinese, I will see whether I can find an English copy.
