I think that is because some Chinese scientist identified Chlamydia-like agent in all 5 dead patients, and I am not a medical major, but I read that Chlamydia-like agent belongs to bacteria type? Although there is still argument about this.

and BTW, they also identified 1-2 antivirals can effectively control sars outside human body.

No this is not translation mistake. But I guess effective outside human body does not mean effective inside human body. the news I read is in Chinese, I will see whether I can find an English copy.
