So what is your point? It seems your opinion of the average citizen is that they were convinced through fear mongering that scrubbing Saddam was justified because of a suspicion that he was involved directly with 9/11.

But did you consider the question above the 9/11 one?

"Do you think Saddam Hussein is involved in supporting terrorist groups that have plans to attack the United States, or not?"

88% said yes to this question.

The average person in the street knows that you cannot contain a rabid tyrant like Saddam for ever without him seeking some kind of revenge on those containing him.
