But, if I may be permitted a little hand-wringing, I think it was a mistake to make the raid today, I just woke up to the news that we have now closed the roads. Wish we could have done it sooner. Ya gotta admit that it was a nice Calvary raid. The guys that made it will tell their Grandchildren about it. I could make an argument either way. It did give them a taste for what they were up against, so I come down on the side of those who are glad they made it. We have to remember that there is an common ideological base to the people running Syria and Iraq. It is like Nazis in two different countries. And I suspect a closeness to the people also. So these guys escaping Baghdad were going to friends in Damascus.
