When "peace" is established, the recriminations, settling of old scores, and summary executions will begin. And the round-up of anyone associated with the Iraqi government and the Ba-ath party, presided over by the "coalition" or some authority will continue.

I expect the US to front an Iraqi "authority" to do the dirty work, keeping themselves in the background.

Spoils to the victor.

Thus it has always been.

But why do they keep repeating over and over that the coalition has no interest in Iraq....just trying to bring freedom and justice to the Iraqi people? Why then not for the Iranians, or Syrians, or N.Koreans, or Chinese, or ......

Or was this war to rid the world of WMDs?

Or was it to sever the Al Qaeda connection/support?

Or payback for 911?

Pretty confusing. Keeps changing.
