Simple...I demand and expect the truth from our government. I refuse to blindly follow.

My father fought in WWII. My husband was in the Navy. All the men in my family are veterans as is my mother. You think I can't pick my war coming from a family like that? What exactly would entitle me to "pick my war"? I have to pick a recent war to please you? What kind of logic is that? The time between WWII and now is not a logical argument against picking that war. It WAS the last Good War. Desert Storm wasn't bad, but it wasn't really a war- not for the US. It fell under the war powers act- if you recall. Technically it wasn't an American war. But my cousin James served in it, and I supported him. So I guess I would have supported that American show of force, or police action, or undeclared war- or whatever you'd like to call it.
