Here's what al jezeera is saying, they don't mention anything but US friendly fire accidents in the piece.

'Friendly convoys bombed in North and West Iraq'

It is unclear who attacked the Russian convoy. The US military says it is investigating the attack.

But in US central command in Qatar, a spokesman told a news conference that "this group of vehicles is still moving."

He said that he did not know if there had been "any coalition involvement, whether in fact someone was hit, what the circumstances were around a reported hit." No images were immediately available from the scene of the bombing.
