Our violations of prisoners rights came first. Their violations of prisoners came second. Could there be a connection? Do you really believe that there is a connection? Iraq would treat our POW's better if we had released those being held at Guatanamo? I am litterally stunned if you do see a connection... Of course, I dont see much reason to speculate. The fact that there is plenty of evidence that Iraq tortured POW's during the first Gulf War should be enough to show that Iraq isnt thinking much about Guatanamo. abcnews.go.com Sadly, I dont think that this issue got much coverage during the first Gulf War.
