P.S.

"We're not all in this together. In fact, there's tens of millions of us that are not in it with you. And Americans couldn't avoid a civilian casualty if their life depended on it. They can't even avoid hitting their own mates. It's disgraceful. If this was a hockey game, the American team would be disqualified. Then again, they'd probably beat the ref to death with their sticks."

Our violations of prisoners rights came first.

Their violations of prisoners came second.

Could there be a connection?

Do you really believe that there is a connection? Iraq would treat our POW's better if we had released those being held at Guatanamo?

I am litterally stunned if you do see a connection...

Of course, I dont see much reason to speculate. The fact that there is plenty of evidence that Iraq tortured POW's during the first Gulf War should be enough to show that Iraq isnt thinking much about Guatanamo.

Sadly, I dont think that this issue got much coverage during the first Gulf War.

Guantanamo Bay has put the lives of all Americans in danger

We have done "Gitmo" to death here. Both from a legal standpoint and from the actual treatment of the Prisoners.

You are wrong on both.
