Kerry is by no means "extreme left". He is a moderate progressive. He voted for the war, is not for huge socialized health programs (like Kennedy is), he backes welfare reform, he is very tough on crime as a former prosecutor, is a gun-owner who believes in gun-rights, is more fiscally conservative than Bush, is married to a Republican, his best friend McCain is a Republican whom he works with closely, he's a war hero who backs our military strongly and though he's liberal on some issues like the environment, that issue really ought to be embraced by conservatives as well now. After all, who wants pollution? And conservative should = conservation, especially when we have to fight foreign wars for oil.
