Well, as I look back over MY 59 years I recall no Militant Islam until the Israeli/Palestinian issue began to flare. True the Arabs tried often to drive the Jews into the Sea but it was purely localized far as I know. Heck, my Aunt travelled throughout the Middle East prior to 1915 (can you IMAGIN THAT?) Not as a tourist either but as a teacher. I really believe it is IMPERATIVE that we settle this Palistinian thing once and for all. If it were up to ME, I would go in with a coalition and DEMAND, forcibly if necessary that the Jews and Palistinians agree as to a country and leave a peace keeping force in there to enforce it. If it meant exterminating Saddat then so be it. Same is true if its Sharon. I would make it CLEAR that WE the INDUSTRIALIZED WORLD are sick and tired of taking it on the chin for THEM and they are going to GROW UP whether they LIKE IT OR NOT. jdn
