Homeland security means beefing up our BORDERS and airlines. It does not mean creating a war out of thin air and making up some false claim of TONS of WMDs and spending 100 billion to go in and kill thousands of innocent civilians.

My personal opinion is if we go another 6 months without being attacked we can all calm down, but keep our guards up naturally. Already the terrorists have won just by killing our peace of mind. But now we've learned and it's time to move on, more wary, but no longer hysterical. No buying gas-masks or duct tape. I think the threats have been wildly exaggerated. Probably to justify Ridge's budget but also to keep the media from focusong on any other issues besides war.
