How come the idiots on this thread see a problem with supporting the war and supporting the only democracy in the middle east and supporting the ideals of our country? The key is that we are not in Iraq because Israel wants us to be. In fact, if US had not restrained Israel over the years, it's likely they could have taken out Sadaam as they took out his nuclear plans years ago in a simple bombing raid. Sure US and most Americans support Israel's right to exist. What's wrong with that? Our number one motivation is 9/11 and the terrorist threat. Even if Sadaam's only link is support of terror, then that is reason to get rid of him. Eliminating the largest killer of Moslems is another wonderful reason to rid the world of his regime. The Saudis and Kuwaitis, (as well as Jordanians and most other Arab countries) despite their public protestations to the contrary, desperately want Sadaam gone. Yet idiots will say that we are doing it because of the Jews and a small plot of land in the middle of the desert.
