is that the same case that Bill Krystal (sp?) makes? I think it is- that with Iraq's oil Opec will be nullified and Saudi influence as far as the US is concerned will also decline. Irrespective of that case (which makes more sense than anything anybody could come up with wrt Iraq), I still have an extremely bad feeling about this. I read Al Jezeera now and the US has a real image problem and in this case it is justified. The internet means the world doesn't have to get their only news from us now either. One thing we really need now is a true diplomat to deal with the aftermath of this and George Bush is not giving me a warm and fuzzy feeling thats for sure.

Dear QS: Sometimes DIPLOMACY just doesnt work. Are you a Father? If so, has there never been a time you had to resort to a SPANKING to get your childs attention? Far as I am concerned the Arabs act like children and frankly the Jews do too IMHO. This WHOLE PROBLEM is related to the Israeli/Palistinian conflict. It is IMPERATIVE that that matter be SETTLED in a fair and equitable way. One step is to eliminate the SPONSORS of terrorism, after Iraq Syria and Iran BETTER pay heed to this, no more bullshit should be allowed to go on. On the same track Israel better stop building those damn settlements on the West Bank and BOTH SIDES better start talking and talking STRAIGHT with one another or we may have to lead a coalition to settle the boundaries ourselves. The USA IMHO is the most wonderful, fairest country on Earth, we never ask for anything in our wars except a little ground to BURY OUR DEAD. Its time we DEMAND this matter be over with as we are SICK AND TIRED of being blamed. jdn
