One last thought just occurred to me ,as I see "they're back", ie --->Mathew and Emile ( freddie and kruger )

It could be that the republican guard has been too busy out there digging , dispersing , and otherwise engaged in hiding all the WMDs and other missles & weaponry , to show up to fight .

4 divisions of them, nowhere to be found . <g>

Just look for the men digging , shovels and earth moving equipment ...Sadamn got caught with his pants down.

That's hardly the same as actual control of the city, which is what would be required for a thorough search.
