that is absolutely the question. though somewhat in the extreme as of yet. which is to say: even a smart bear who may grow capital during this period let alone preserve it, in the very worst instance, over night, could see that paper become worthless. all that work gone in an instant. what to do and how to do it before it happens. when you find out, please let me know. meanwhile, buy seed, drill water wells, collect wood, learn to repair your own roof leak.... and kill your own free range chickens. got very very large balcony in big city?

Jay, f) when JGB market collapses, what are the global implications ... well actually, never mind global implications, how can we not lose money, and instead make money? So easy that I think you yourself first made mention of it on this thread... <g> Borrow money from a Japanese bank at negative interest rates. Postpone (legally) repaying the loan for as long as possible. The longer you don't repay at negative interest rates, the more you make. Then, when you do pay off the loan, use a highly inflated fiat currency from another country to do so, thereby passing on any future currency devaluations to the Japanese bank(s). KJC
