If Saddam is in Syria we'll put big pressure on Syria.
They would be easy to invade now that we're there. Could this play right into Bush's 2004 October Surprise? Campaign against Syria to free Israel from Lebanon? That's the ultimate rat's nest.

If I were Bush I'd actually go for it. The economy is hopeless anyway until 2005. But if he tries this war, don't expect people to not want a change. Populations rarely "enjoy" war for more than a few years. Though maybe this is the new Roman Empire and we're putting on CNN gladiatorial combat with our wars. Anyone who doesn't like us goes. Unfortunately Syria has no oil. So it wont happen.
Pity Iran can't attack us. Hmm.

What secrets died in the mind of William Casey? I think his successor may be Rumsfield. I have to admit though, I like the way he lies. He's smooth. Strong. Ruthless. He's the real thing. He may be more powerful than Bush now. He and Cheney combined anyway.
