I think it's the OCR software that determines quality of conversion. A Google search shows there is disagreement which is best.

Hi - I bought a Cannon with the OCR software that Gottfried mentioned. It worked well but unfortunately there is no way to format the type of document I want. The document is a land list of about 500 parcels that needs to be perfect so I will just have to create a new document.

Also because you can only scan one page at a time instead of having one file - I now have ten files instead of one.

I understand there is a new program (at more money than the scanner) that can somehow do this but I need the list now. I'll play more with scanners when I have more time.
