Vets know the difference between one of their own and an AWOL chickenhawk. Bush is trying to cut veterans benefits, went AWOL during Nam and has given us the worst economy since Hoover. Not all vets are stupid, as you're implying. I watched Kerry wow the Cadets at the Citadel in SC. In the beginning, they were all pro-Bush, but the end they were giving Kerry a standing ovation FOR his decision to protest the Vietnam War. After he explained his heartfelt reasons. Vets and military men are not the property of the RNC. And Bush will have a lot of explaining to do when he puts his military record up against Kerry's. Gore never attacked him on that, a big mistake for Gore. I spoke to a pro-Bush vet last week in fact. He was cheering the war. I asked him about Kerry and he said "a great man". I asked if he'd vote for him, he said "maybe". Even though he's a loud-mouthed GOP Bush supporter. Watch out, GW.
