Doug face it. You just don't like war, unless it is like WWII where 40 million people die. If we could go back 12 years ago and do it again I certainly would not do the incremental approach. Basically the UN sanctions and the no fly zone did not help, Saddam would let the whole country die before he would step down. If we could go back 12 years and do it again, I would do it just like this. Hell, since we just beat the crap out of him in Kuwait it probably would have only taken 2 weeks then.:)

Doug, What are you talking about? Are you on the juice that the minister of information for Iraq is? You started some crap about a Free Iraq, as if because planes could not fly, Saddam would let anyone that wanted to migrate away from his control do so. I pointed out to you that people that tried to rise up against saddam are now all dead. I also believe that the map that I showed you is the first one of Iraq that you have ever seen. otherwise, you would not be proposing some bull about citizens seceding from saddam's control. Basra was the site of a massacre after 1991. The citizens of Umm Qasr have admitted to being terrified. Those cities are as far south and as far from Baghdad as you can be in Iraq. Where do you propose putting "Free Iraq". The lucky ones have been the 4 million that were able to leave the country. if you are going to propose a Utopian ideal, you should have facts that can support the ability for implementation. for the record, I have never been in kill mode. The best solution for everyone would have been for saddam to pack up his money, his women and his minions and headed off to Russia or Syria...
