They will paint the graffiti over and it will be good as new. Get over it. French don't shoot kids "armed" with spray cans. I doubt your suggestion would be popular even in America, so try to calm down and perhaps one day come to the understanding that one kid writing a slogan on a grave is not such a big deal. Yes, it is an emotional issue. Yes, he shouldn't have done it. No, I cannot agree with you that armed guards should shoot whoever approaches with a spray can to those graves. If it continues, I would hope the US would come in and take out ALL graves, and return them all home. If this appears like a rational adult comment to you, I don't know what to say. Sure, take'em home. Like the French would care. So what would YOU do to stop the desecration of the WWI graves, zonder? I would not have inflamed resentment and hatred between Americans and French in the first place. I would not heavily publicize anti-French sentiment, press calling the French some very colorful and imaginative names, not the least of which was cowards. I certainly would not be changing names of food to take out the word "French" in them, which is just about the most childish thing I have ever seen a Congress do. If I had, I would not be surprised if the French, especially their young, take it a bit hard and start reacting to Americans. I would expect the French try to prevent similar future acts, but I certainly would NOT advocate them shooting teenagers with paint cans. If I had, I would question my own sanity.
