What non-Cold War program that we need did Clinton cut? Name one. And if he did cut anything look to see that there was bi-partisan consensus. I'm pretty sure everything that got cut was old Cold War stuff. Base closings, etc. The military needs to downsize once in awhile. Get leaner and meaner and save tax-payer money.

I said Clinton drastically cut the size of our armed forces not that he cut out a lot of programs. That's it. That's why rummy wanted to go into Iraq with 80k soldiers. Clinton had cut the military back. It's got not that the Iraqi army won't fight and the crowds will cheer...it's really Clinton's fault. He is also to blame for the cold winter we had this year. Stupid environmentalist...cutting back on those greenhouse gases...liable to start a new ice age. Bush will more more forests to save the day. Al
