Mike, I watched that episode and the broken nose was well-deserved. Geraldo goaded them into a fight. Roy Ennis (sp), the head of CORE, is an African-American hothead. He had previously punched out Al Sharpton on Morton Downing, Jr., another scandal show. (Morton is no longer with us. He turned from right wing nutburger to sensible liberal citizen when he got cancer).

Anyway, one of the skinheads called Roy an "Uncle Tom." Roy jumped out of his chair and stared at him. Now, Roy is one big son of a gun and known for punching first and asking questions later. But even he was considering whether or not to start yet another fight on tv. And Geraldo piped up, "Common, Roy, show him what you think of that comment." And he did. Then Geraldo jumped in to break it up and got his nose broken. I think both sides should have pounded him senseless, though that was accomplished without any pounding. <g>
