That certainly is true. However, I don't see Kerry recovering from his regime change gaffe. Kerry could have won with that statement, only if the war bogged down. It doesn't seem likely, plus the US and the UN probably will split the reconstruction of Iraq. So they will likely paper over their differences; so the countries will all pretend they are pals again, thus negating Kerry's alienation charges. My bet is that Edwards will gain big time from the democratic side. Kerry, and Dean will become insignificant.
