There was a symposium in First Things magazine a few years ago on Clinton's presidency. A few of the more strident conservatives used the word 'regime' to characterize the administration. A couple of the more moderate neocons promptly resigned the board in protest, not wanting to be associated with extremist terms like that. I thought it was an over reaction, but at least they did it out of a sense of decency.
