In the American tradition, we have never expected anyone for anything for the things we have done for them (including sacrificing our lives). However, if they are decent human beings they should know better deep in their hearts that they (that is German and FGrench) should be (and are) our ass-kissers nevertheless! That is how (at least I) view them to be - nothing more, nothing less. :) Incidentally, it has become apparent why German, French and Russians were against the war and trying so hard to come up with some sort of deal with Saddam! It was not because of their human decency, or being anti-war, or being peacful nations! No Sir! Of the $116 billion foreign debt that Iraq has (thanks to Saddam), 92% of that debt is to Russia, France and Germany!! With Saddam soon gone they will be lucky to get 5 cents on every dollar they gave to Saddam!
