mr. mark,

One of the links you gave me seems to be pointing in the right direction. Somehow I got logged onto my Dell under another user name and that is why My Documents folder was empty. I must preface this by telling you I replaced my DVD/CD ROM drive last Saturday with a new Sony one along with the included software. No hitches with this operation.

Here is the problem. I am the only one using the machine and I have never used a password. If indeed my Dell did somehow now recognize me as lets say a second user how do I find that out? If I am identified as a second user how do I find my former persona and password? Perhaps that is why My Documents folder was empty.

Thanks in advance for your or anyone else's thoughts on this.
