yeah, kofi buddy was saying that UN backing would lend an air of legitimacy to the new Iraqi gov't. mmmhmm...and what's the upside to the UN? if the Iraqi people truly have been oppressed by SH, there should be no issue with a gov't by the Iraqi people shunning the French without any help from us. And you have to believe that the hardline taken by Israel kept SH from lobbing in a few scuds. The french and russians sure do have balls the size of montana thinking that they get to participate in the rebuilding.
