Clinton-Gore were fine with the military. I seem to remember a remark, what was it? "I loathe the military". Disgusting.

If Clinton cut the military too much why are we kicking ass? If the only thing we might even possibly need the military for was Iraq then I would not say he cut the military too much. Even with the more difficult possibilities that exist I don't think he cut disastrously too much. Just too much at the margin. However he did go a bit to far and caused our military to get real stretched at certain times. Apparently even he realized this because he started to increase defense spending a bit at the end. Sure it was something the Republicans were pushing be he went along with it as did Gore. Tim
