Unfortunately he also taught us that there are a lot of A.S.'s in America that think all you listed above is ok (if you are a democrat). The tide seems to be turning though.

Yeah right. Bush Sr. gave Clinton 7 years of prosperity and Bush Jr is the victim of Clinton's terrible bubble. Boy would Bush love to have a bubble. We love bubbles. The whole world does. Just dont be the last to cash out. Boom and bust cycles repeat themselves regularly, but policy and balancing of budgets is one of the keys. Deficit financing makes it impossible to have a bubble except in defensive investments like we have now in real estate. That bubble too will burst. Maybe soon. The Bush economy will get worse not better.
