When it comes to news and facts from US media you have to apply a couple of filters either parallely or in tandem. Two filter knobs: 1) Lie filter (FOX 0.99, CNN 0.95, NBC-CBS-ABC 0.95, PBS - 0.75, BBC - 0.85, the same setting is applied to all print media and radio stations controlled the leading 7 corporations who control more than 85% outlets in US) 2) Anti-spin knob (NYTimes 0.90, all print media 0.99, TVs 0.98) Some times these media conveniently omit things that are not to their liking and magnify some trivial points. Thanks to internet there are still some sources where you can get more objective news than these sell outs. If you want facts you have to spend time to disassemble and assemble, construct and reconstruct from various sources. <Watch CNN but don't take it wholesale. Filter out by comparing with other sources. Just get the nuggets out fo the raw material.> Or just wait till it's over. :) DAK
