Summit of the Axis of Appeasement: Chirac, Annan to Join Russia-Germany Talks on Iraq Tuesday, Apr 08, 2003; 12:00 PM MOSCOW - Leaders of the main countries opposing the U.S.-led military campaign in Iraq will meet in St. Petersburg, Russia, this weekend, the Kremlin said. A Kremlin statement said French President Jacques Chirac would join Russian leader Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder at talks Friday and Saturday. They will be joined Saturday by U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan. The Kremlin statement made no mention of any agenda, but a U.N. official said Annan would discuss Iraq with the leaders.
