... but the thing that sticks out for me personally, is a name mentioned here from that time, it is almost certainly an ancestor of someone i know, the province and name and time all fit well, i'll ask about the connection as soon as possible ..... small world indeed ..... a while ago on a mainstream political thread here i tripped across a name being quoted as expert in re ongoing history, phoned an old friend, one of the first people i knew in this country, and found out no, that wasn't his daughter to whom i'd read books when she was five years old, it was her cousin who has the same first name, the two are good friends, neighbours, and share more than a little connection in academia
