Clinton had only option, cruise missiles. If 9-11 goodwill hadn't gotten us land access rights to Pakistan and Uzbekistan we wouldn't have been able to invade the Taliban as we did. Afghanistan is so land-locked there's no way to ferry troops over from the Indian Ocean, nor bombers. Only cruise missiles. Pakistan nor Iran would have allowed Clinton fly-over rights. 9-11 and sevreal billion dollars in loan forgiveness changed that for Bush. Gore-Lieberman would have been right there. Lieberman is a major hawk and Gore a moderate one. Both more than Clinton.

lie' Gore would have tried the same tactic as Clinton.

Tell everyone America was at fault. Claim Bin Laden was a
victim & we need to understand why he gave us what we
deserve. Then he would have tried to talk the issue to
death with Bin Laden & the countries that harbor & support
terrorists.
