Very difficult

Ah don't be such a pessimist :-)

The TV pictures of civilian casualties is distressing. Especially the children. It's put me off war, even if I wasn't for it already.

The peace protests we see today are bigger then ever before. My only criticism is they should access the risks of their actions. Leaving the Taliban and Saddam in place after 9/11 was most undesireable imho. Worse crimes against humanity would have followed.

I think education has a very powerful impact both to enhance or prevent wars and violence.

Some desire aliens to attack Earth to help the human race to appreciate one and another. Band together.

We already have six billion of us. There is a large area of human body exposed to rest of universe, the need for martians to invade is minimal. Plenty of bad guys around for us to learn how to circle the wagons and protect one and another.
