You and I have pesticide residue in our muscle tissue, and in our sex glands, replacing hormones (don't look). We have had it for 40 years. There is no excuse for this horseshit. It is high, high time we told the government 'Enough is enough. Prove this stuff is safe or get rid of it.' The miniscule insect damage to food and slightly higher prices, we would have to put up with is far, far outweighed by the epidemic cancer rates of breast, colon, and stomach that HAVE to come from ingested substances. What other source than food? We had 30 pesticides licensed in 1930. We now have 1000 on and in our food. What happened to crops and insects in the meantime that necessitated this travesty of chemical poisoning? Was there a worldwide infestation?

I think not.

Man has fed himself for 6000 years amply without starvation, without insecticides and only the occasional crop failure in some areas of the world that are endemic to cyclical insect pests. We do not need the risks we are taking now just to feed, it seems, a cash hungry business world. The lie that addtional crops are needed to feed poor people is too much to take, when it is repeated by rich corporations. They care not for such things.

How can you and I escape? Eat organically grown foods. Insist on them being carried at your local grocer. Demand something be done by local politicians. Refuse to vote for candidates who do not support initiatives to do something about the increase year by year of obvious chemical poisoning of our environment.. our farms, our food and our forests.

It's your life. Your death by Cancer. Think about it.
