Indonesia's Suharto. Paraguay's Stroessner. Chile's Pinochet. Bolivia's Hugo Banzer. Iran's Reza Pahlavi. A long line of US-owned son of bitches.

But there's a little difference now. The world is not accpeting autocrats. They fall one-by-one. Did we need US troops to get rid of dictators in South America? No. Did Indonesia needed US forces to let Suharto join other autocrats in history's dust bin? No.

The US is going agais the arrow of time. It is an anachronicn gun boating that is not going to end well.
