Another possibility on RFMD news is that the 930,000 new adds in March at KDDI would probably be supplied more by Japanese handset producers than Korean handset producers. Samsung is apparently RFMD's big customer so it could just mean that Samsung isn't getting a big chunk of the growth in the Japanese market.

I dont think that Samsung sells any models in Japan....

JMO....but the real issue is that Qualcomm is shipping more MSM's than customers are buying CDMA handsets. I dont think that 29 million CDMA handsets were sold last quarter....and I dont think that 28 million CDMA handsets will be sold this quarter. Some of that is a needed handset inventory build in India, but some of that is also excess inventory. Hopefully, we will see a turn around with Unicom's launch of 1x and prepaid. India seems to be doing ok (1 million subs) but not nearly as well as rumours indicated back at the beginning of February.

I actually think that the US is doing well....but as I have said, it is hard for Japan and the US to make up for China and Korea.
