Anyone like BRKS at these levels? BRKS Brooks Automation moves to new 52-wk low (8.49 -0.76) Shares of semiconductor equipment maker have broken to a new one-year low today, taking out their previous low of $8.62 established March 11.

The long term chart would suggest a potential bottom at 8:

Hi Cary,

Well if France can skim billions off of "Oil for Food",I suspect George and Cheney can generate additional commerce on the efficient rebuilding and exploration of the world's second largest known oil reserves (which happen to be the least developed).

Competitive oil prices vs Cartel imposed would give the entire globe a tax cut that would create global growth.

History has proven for ever, that strength as a deterrent, stops terrorism much more efficiently than passivism as displayed by the Slick Willie era.

Cheer up Cary this only means a chip recovery in 04 and 05 versus your 07 and 08.

I know you can adjust to this - give it a try.ggg

Just as a note, the annual statement in Cohu's 2002 Annual Book has a paragraph in it written by the CEO,Mr Donahue. He states that the evolution in integrated circuitry,as it moves away from being dependant on killer applications like PC's or cell phones, will be a healthier more robust industry,as we get over the massive overcapacity created in 99 and 00.

It is his opinion that the the diverse and omnipresent nature of semiconductors working their way into all manufactured products will provide much more growth in the future and in a more manageable growth fashion. He states it will not show itself for several more quarters, but it is alive and well.Still just growing, but not enough to rise above the past overcapacity already installed.

It has been a long time and it is reasonable to expect a nice slow demand to surface, in the not too far off future.Afterall it has been 3 years since to market's top.

Good to hear from you.

Bob
