John Kerry personally told me South Carolina's vets have personally told him they're 100% behind him. They weren't before, but then Bush lied to them in 2000, stabbed McCain the real vets candidate in the back and vets remember. Vets support our troops but they dont support a chickenhawk AWOl liar who's trying to cut their benefits. Many vets are right-wing and will vote for Bush, but many wont. If Kerry were to run with McCain he'd sweep the vet vote. They dont respect Bush anywhere near as much as you think. They are not stupid reactionary robots. They are complex, sentient people who can see through BS.
