Plus Kerry is repeating the same mistakes the Dems made during 2002 by running on an "Anything But Bush" platform.

Try as I might, I cannot see a Democrat candidate that looks like a real possibility. I see Bush as a fairly centrist Republican; so far as I can tell, the Democrats are putting forth far Left-wingers, other than Lieberman. In fact, save for a few, the Democrats seem to have nothing but extremists left in their party. I just don't believe America is ready to elect a George McGovern to run the country.

Out of the bunch I see only Lieberman as having a competent position politically -- and he lacks an element of "presidentialness" that will keep him out of the office.

I once thought Kerry to be a threat; but the more he talks, the less of a threat he is. Now, I would have to favor Gephardt. I don't think it matters. I think these people are viewed as soft on terrorism, long on criticism, and short on ideas; as a result, I don't believe any are electable. The candidate who best represents the party seems to be Sharpton, but clearly, his drug buy video might cause a couple of problems during the campaign <g>...
