Track record before 9-11 is non-existent. Prior to 9-11, 'Realism' or 'Neo-Realism' was the dominant organizing principle of US foreign policy. You make a persuasive case for the the problems of Realism. I agree with your analysis, however, none of it is Neocon strategy. The Neocons are an answer to the 'half measures', 'compromises', and 'delicate balances' of Realism. Iraq is the first time the Neocon strategy has been embraced. Afghanistan was largely conducted under Realism's reign. The biggest challenge to the neocons is the institutional inertia of Realism. The state department, the UN and much of the media is fully schooled and vested in Realism. A Neocon/Realism compromise will be a disaster.

There's a new paradigm in town. You don't believe that the thinking has changed and you don't trust the people making the decisions. I respect that. However, your list of Neocon crimes is incorrect, it is a list of Realist crimes.

p.s. Even the SI spell checker hasn't caught up to the Neocon paradigm shift.
