catchingwave, "Every time the index has been at the precipice of the "Big black hole" that it is supposed to drop into, it rallies - and I get killed!"

Well, that should tell you something about the current bull since last month. People who have been making money are buying the dips this month rather than trying to call the top. You'll clearly know when the top is in, just give it some time, and then buy your puts. Personally, I've found that a reactionary style of trading is much safer than an anticipatory one.

What indicators are you using and in what timeframe? If you're looking for trendline breaks to the downside or moving average crossovers to the downside, there haven't been any significant ones yet.

I suppose you don't like the Bradley model portending a rise into the end of June?
